GRAND ROUNDSReflecting back and looking forward

In the spring of 2014, I Choose RVH was launched, inviting our greater community to support the expansion and redevelopment of our local hospital. The response has been wonderful and heartwarming—donations have come from all corners of Renfrew County. Folks tell us they donate because “… the hospital touches every one of us, at some point in our lives.”

With the new nephrology centre fully operational since spring and the more recent opening of the new oncology unit, respiratory therapy, stress testing and Telehealth spaces, the hospital will now focus on the next phase of the expansion. Improvements to patient rooms, on the second and third floors, and the construction of a new multidisciplinary medical building will most certainly make a difference for patients, their families and the community as a whole.

Our community has shown strong support for I Choose RVH—together, we are more than half way to raising 3.5 million dollars. If you have been considering supporting your local hospital through I Choose RVH, we’d love to hear from you.
