Bring Your Own Device with UC-One

John has a TIPT desk phone in the office and also has a personal

smartphone. John wants to utilise his smartphone to keep in contact

but needs a solution to ensure he can charge back work related calls.

Installing UC-One on the smartphone device:

• Inbound calls: John sets the TIPT Anywhere service to ring on his

smartphone. Calls to his desk phone will simultaneously ring on his

smartphone.

• Outbound calls: When he makes a call using the TIPT UC-One

dialler, the platform will call him back on his smartphone. When he

answers, the call is connected. His desk phone caller ID is

presented, hiding his personal smartphone caller ID.

• Billing: All call costs are billed back to John’s TIPT desk phone.

Calls initiated via the UC-One client are an inbound call to the

smartphone and are therefore billed to the TIPT desk phone as

part of the calling plan.
