“You must have undertaken 35 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to your scope of practice as a nurse or midwife, in the three year period since your registration was last renewed or you joined the register.”

“Of those 35 hours of CPD, at least 20 must have included participatory learning.”

What is participatory learning?

• “learning through engagement and communication with others”

• “Participatory learning includes any learning activity in which you personally interact with other people”

• With one or more professionals.

• Does not need to be in a ‘common physical environment.’

• Can be a group in a ‘virtual environment.’

Tweet:A message of 140 characters or less which is visible to the public , unless you have alocked account. It can also include web links, photos, YouTube clips, etc.

DM:A private message, visible only between the sender/recipient

Hashtag:By placing # in front of a word or phrase, this brings together all tweets containing thattheme. You can then read all the tweets containing that hashtag.

Trending:Content is ranked by popularity, so certain topics are trending. This is often breaking news or celebrity gossip.
