Vrouedag in Augustus, waar die

hele maand aan vroue reg oor

die wêreld opgedra is, het OVK

Ficksburg en ’n paar ver skaf-

fers dit goed gedink om iets

be sonders vir die dag te doen.

OVK Ficksburg, Jonsson Work -

wear, Diesel Electric Beth lehem

en Efekto het kragte saam ge-

snoer en bygedra tot ’n on ver -

geetlike dag gehou op 8 Augus-

tus 2014. Die Blik Plek, ’n plaaslike restaurant, het dié oggend behoorlik gegons van al die

be drywighede.

Die oggend het op ’n hoë noot afgeskop met Gedas Olivier, Handelsbemarker Noordstreek, wat

die verrigtinge met gebed geopen het en die deugde van die vrou besing het. Hierna het Pieter

Dempsey, Takbestuurder te Ficks burg, die dames verwelkom.

Jonsson Workwear was volgende aan die woord. Hulle het hul reeks dames-werksklere bekend-

gestel en verduidelik waarom hulle so sterk daaroor voel dat dit noodsaakllik is vir vroue om

gemak like klere in die werksplek te dra. Tussendeur het die dames hul verlustig aan die heerlike

eet- en drinkgoed.

Me Nadia Terblanche, eggenote van die Hoofbestuurder: Handel, Meganisasie, Motors en

Ver sekering, het die eerste prystrekking hanteer waarna Chris Smit van Efekto die dames toe-

ge spreek het oor tuine, ongediertes en plae wat daardie tyd van die jaar die alledaagse tuin

teister.

Net toe almal dink die verrigtinge was afgehandel, het die groot pret eers begin, met nóg prys-

trekkings en Diesel Electric Bethlehem wat die dames met verdere pryse bederf het. Nog was

dit nie die einde nie. Die Blik Plek het hierna die vroue bederf met heerlike eetgoed en almal was

dit eens dat die dag ’n reuse sukses was.

OVK bedank graag al die verskaffers en plaaslike besighede wat behulpsaam was met die borg

van pryse en reël van die verrigtinge.

OVK HONOURED AS A VOERMOL ‘TOP 5’ DISTRIBUTORStephan Oberholzer received OVK’s ‘Voermol Top 5 Dis tributors’ Award’ for the 2013/14 financial year, on 25 Sep tember 2014 at the Fairmont Zim-bali Resort in Ballito, KZN. The theme of the event was ‘A Touch of Class’ which highlighted Voer mol’s high regard for the Top 5 Distributors and the prestigious nature of these awards. Ex Spring bok rugby player, AJ Venter addressed the audience on the synergy between sport and business. He refer-red to examples from his sporting career, as well as some of his other personal accomplishments such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and cross coun try motor racing. Inter national Saxophonist, An drew Young flew in from Vienna, Austria and was ac com pa nied on the keyboard and guitar by local musi cians Paul Williams and Chuck Bow den. Kenny Crampton, Voermol’s national sales manager refer red to the synergy between Voermol and the Top 5 Distributors as being ‘fundamental to Voermol’s busi ness’ and Philip Strydom, Voer mol’s managing director congratulated the award win ners and rei tera ted that ‘Voer mol values these partner ships going forward.’ Congratulations to everyone at OVK on the hard work and com mit ment that made this achieve ment possible!

en Middelburg Distriks Landbou-Unie, het op 8 Oktober

2014 ’n OVK Karoo Jongboerdag te Grootfontein

aangebied. Dit was die eerste keer wat OVK die dag aan-

ge bied het en ongeveer 140 boere, kliënte, verskaffers

en personeel het deel uitgemaak van die dag.

Andre Diederichs, ’n bekende familie-besigheids kon-

sultant, het ’n interessante praatjie gelewer oor die impak

van familieboerderye op die landbou-sektor asook om ’n

balans te vind tussen die belange van die bestaande

gene rasie en die inkomende generasie. Ander sprekers

tydens die dag was Hendrik van Pletzen van Voermol

(be stuursfaktore wat wins

by veeboerdery verhoog)

en Giepie Calldo van CMW

(teling en sinkronisasie).
