    MEMBER SERVICEMembership CardsAll new members (11yrs old and older) willreceive a bar-coded membership card which they are

    required to scan each time they enter the Y facility. Fora family membership, each family member needs to scanhis or her card upon entrance into the facility.

    Day PassesNon-member guests who would like to use the facilityare required to pay for a day pass at the front desk.Guests are expected to follow all rules set for members.

    Lockers and LocksFor your convenience, lockers are available inthe locker rooms for daily use. We strongly

    recommend you bring a lock to secure yourpersonal items. Lockers are available to rent,please inquire at the front desk.

    Age guidelinesYouth under age 11 must be accompanied by a legalguardian or be participating in a YMCA program while inthe facility. Ages 11-14 must be accompanied by alegal guardian in the Wellness Center areas and have

    Summer Day CampThis summer, send your kids to camp at the Y and ensure that they get the traditional

    camp experience all in a day camp setting! At the Jersey Shore Branch YMCA Summer D

    Camp, also known as Camp Little Pine, campers will travel to Little Pine State Park severa

    times each week from our Jersey Shore school home base location. In addition, they will

    enjoy many activities and events at the school location. Let our experienced, energetic

    staff help to make this summer one that your child will remember for a lifetime.

    Healthy Kids DaySaturday, April 26, 2014 11:00am to 1:00pm

    As a leading nonprofit strengthening community through healthyliving, the Y holds an annual Healthy Kids Day event to teach healthy

    habits to families and kids while inspiring a lifetime love of physicalactivity. At a time when one in three children in the United Statesare overweight or obese (according to the Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention), developing healthier habits that includeincreased physical activity is more important than ever.

    YMCA Healthy Kids Day brings families and communities together tocelebrate healthy living with a FREE fun-filled day of interactivegames, family activity, giveaways and more. You can also getinformation about or register for summer camp, sports and otherpositive Y programs that support more than strong bodies - theyredesigned to help shape kids character, too!

    Tiadaghton Race

    10K/5K Run & 5K WalkSaturday, June 28, 2014

    Join us in the 43rd annual Tiadaghton Race this summer! Choose do the 10K Run, 5K Run, or 5K Walk that supports our Ys Annual

    Support Campaign. The Annual Campaign is a fundraising effort toincrease support for the Jersey Shore Branch YMCAs scholarship

    fund. Proceeds from the race will directly fundscholarships that allow children and families to benefit fromprograms that enhance youth development, healthy living, and socresponsibility.

    SHANGRAW WELLNESS CENTEROur NEW wellness center upgrades are complete and open for use! Schedule a FREE Fitness Orientation which isavailable to all adult members. To use the Shangraw Wellness Center, youth 11-14yrs old must complete a Fitness

    Orientation and have a parent present in this area during use. Fitness Orientations may be arranged at the FrontDesk.

    Racquetball CourtThe Jersey Shore Branch YMCA features a racquetballcourt. Members and guests may reserve the court for afun and energetic game of racquet ball.

    SILVER SNEAKERSYoga StretchThis modified yoga class is for everyone! There ano floor exercises - all is done with the support oa chair. Exercises are geared toward increasingflexibility and range of motion, improved balancecore muscle strength and overall stress reduction

    BRIGHTER FUTURESACCOur School Age Child Care is for ages 5 to 12 yearsand provides a safe, structured environment withmany activities to keep your child busy and focused.Some of the activities your child will experience whileenrolled in the Jersey Shore Branch YMCA SACCprogram are: Homework time Crafts Games Gym time Outdoor Activities

    Child Care is available Monday through Friday, beforeand after school. We also provide all-day care forscheduled, non-weather related school closings (i.e.Act 80 & selected vacation days). We have twolocations to serve your needs:

    Jersey Shore Elementary: 6:00am-6:00pm Salladasburg Elementary: After School-6:00pm

    SACC fees:Before and after school care - $70 per weekBefore or after school care - $55 per weekScholarships may be available to those who cannotafford YMCA fees. Please call or stop by the YMCAfor an application.

    Y-KIDS LEARN PRESCHOOL

    Our preschool program, for ages 3 to 5 yrs,provides children with a safe environment inwhich they can grow and develop to their fullpotential. We have a dedicated andprofessional staff who will help your child growsocially and educationally while also teachingthe values of caring, honesty, respect andresponsibility.While enrolled in Y-Kids, your child will

    experience: Weekly educational themes Kindergarten readiness skills Field Trips

    There are currently 3 preschool class options: Mon/Wed/Fri classages 4 & 5 - $120 per

    month Tues/Thurs class - age 3 - $100 per month Mon-Fri class- age 4 & 5- $200 per month

    Classes typically begin in September and followthe Jersey Shore school calendar. Registrationswill open in the spring - register early toensure your childs placement in class!

    Brick House is an after school program for adolescents and teens, generallythose in junior high and high school, that is offered at no cost through thegenerosity of the Lycoming County United Way and the First CommunityFoundation Partnership of Pennsylvania.

    The program is designed to prepare youth and teens for success in lifethrough activities that build self-esteem and teach important life skills. BrickHouse promotes healthy lifestyle decisions and habits and is focused towardkeeping kids off the street after school. Our friendly and caring staff membersprovide each teen with a unique experience. Teens will be engaged in

    activities that include homework help, tutoring, mentoring, goal setting, sportsactivities, teen leadership opportunities, career planning, educational

    opportunity, and workshops about preventing drug and alcohol use. Servicelearning is stressed and encouraged. The program is both fun and educational.

    Brick House is available Monday through Friday

    from school dismissal until 6:00pm

    CHILDWATCHOur YMCA has a pleasant environment foryour children ages 3 months to 5 years old inour child watch room. While you work out,your children are cared for by our qualifiedYMCA staff. This service is FREE to membersand $1.00 per child, per visit fornon-members.

    The Child Watch hours are as follows:

    Shoot for better health and sign-up a team in thesummer series of our Adult Basketball League at theY! All games are officiated by two trained referees,plus statistics are kept by the Y and posted onlineweekly throughout the season.

    YMCA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMThe YMCA works to ensure that regardless of

    ability to pay, we make it possible for everyone in thecommunity to participate in our programs andactivities. For that reason, our Y has a scholarshipprogram to make our programs and activities moreaffordable. In previous years, the Y awarded over$250,000 in membership and program subsidies tothose who could not afford the fees.

    If you believe in the mission of the Y and you believein how the Y can help individuals and families in ourcommunity with improving their health, then pleaseconsider a donation to the Jersey Shore YMCA AnnualCampaign.
