Write the number of adults and children in the memoarea. You may also pay at the meeting but ONLY if you have cash in an envelope with yourname and the number of adults and children attending written on the outside or a check with thenumber of adults and children written in the memo area. If you pay your money and are not ableto attend, we will make a refund.

We need to answer a couple of questions during the November meeting. First, will we be havingthe “bring a gift – get a gift” exchange and if so, what is the dollar amount? For new members, under this program you can participate in the gift exchange if you want but it is not required. Ifyou bring a gift then you get a gift. In the past, the gifts were approximately $15.00 value. Thegifts will be in three categories: Flying, women and children. You bring a wrapped gift andplace it on the appropriate table. Later you will select a gift from the same category. Please note- the women can participate in the flying or the women’s category or both. The flying categoryis not limited to the men.

The second question is “what charity should we support at the Christmas Dinner”.

What do you fly and why? Most members have several airplanes, so the question is “What do you fly and why”. How doyou decide which plane to take to the field? If you bring more that one, which one gets the mostuse? Please send a short note to the email address below and I will include it in upcomingnewsletters.

My most flown plane is my Slow Combat One Design. We have been having great fun withthem this summer. It is an airplane that I designed to be easy to build, inexpensive and slow andstable enough to allow lots of hits. The discussion with videos is here:http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1368392

The second most flown airplane is the Wild Stik. It is a 46 size ARF from Sig with a SuperTigre 51. Like all Sticks it is easy to fly and very forgiving has good aerobatic capability. It fitsin the car easily and is just a good everyday airplane. Send me a note with what you have flownand why.

On Oct 8th, CVA hosted the BAGS Giant Scale Fly-in. The turn-out was not high, but 12 pilotsflew, with 20 over airplanes on the ground. The event generated a big turnout of visitors and wehope some potential club members.

Oct. 15 was our yearly club picnic. It was apretty nice day except for the high winds.About 40 people came out, but all the windmade it difficult to fly. No accidents, butsome hairy experiences.

Nov. 5, is Profile Fun Day. It requires aProfile airplane, meaning it requires a profilefuselage, viewing from the side it looks likean airplane. A front view looks like a sheetof wood. This is all that can be flown.
