Country Weddings{& engagements} by Annemarie King

Simple, uncluttered images with a sense of light, colour, environment, emotion.

I love big skies, whether stormy-cloud-grey or ‘lonely as a cloud’ bright blue and sunny...

My pictures show my couples experiencing their day with laughter and joy. Sometimes, my pictures show a quiet or contemplative romantic moment. Influenced by the english countryside and the ever changing light and colours, I use nature, wide sweeping views and fine detail to show the unique environment of the wedding and the couple within.

Documenting the day, yes, but also using a fine art approach to create a cohesive collection of images ready for binding in leather and treasuring forever.

HI! I’M ANNEMARIE

ABOUT ME:

I love...Posh Coffee, my husband, I love star shapes and heart shapes, my favourite place is the beach at Holkham, I love classic brown scrapbooks, peeling paint backdrops, my dogs Boo and Patch, my cowboy boots and ... photography!

MY WORK:I specialise in country weddings and engagements

I like teepee weddings with lanterns and home made potted jam.

I like marquee weddings at home

and village hall weddings with bunting

and rustic weddings in a barn with gingham napkins

I love shooting pictures in the first bloom of spring, with the yellow fields of oil seed rape, through to the golden wheat fields and finally harvest time and the fruit and berries.

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

Engagement shoots are a lot of fun.

I love to get to know all my wedding couples, therefore I offer a complimentary engagement session. Usually lasting one to two hours they take place within a short drive of the studio at Bishopthorpe.

I can travel to special locations on request (a small travel charge will apply).

A styled engagement shoot is fun!

We can look at clothes, colours, props such as picnic blankets, pets, funky shoes etc.

You do not have to be a wedding client to book an engagement shoot with me. My fee for the shoot is £75 with print prices from as little as £12!

YOUR WEDDING DAY

As your day begins and hair and make up near completion I arrive to shoot beautiful detail shots, the preparations, the emotion of your family as they see the bride for the first time and the fun with the bridesmaids.

Leaving for the ceremony before the bride in order to get shots of the groom best man and ushers, I am there to capture arrival of bride and father.

Important moments during the ceremony, confetti and guests congratulating you, family pictures, more details, your place of reception and some of my famous fashion style romantic and sometimes quirky images of bride and groom will be taken before leaving you to enjoy your wedding breakfast.

The reception, the fun of the speeches, the cake cutting, more bride and groom pictures as the sun goes down, the romance of the first dance can be captured too for a little extra.

MODERN ALBUMS

I like books and albums. I think a collection of printed images looks fabulous.

When designed together, story by story, on double page spreads in a book or album, a collection of images can tell the story of each part of your day as it unfolded in a far more interesting way than looking at a single image in isolation on a screen.

I offer the fabulous Folio Albums. More like a book than album.Your images are printed onto bright white fine art watercolour paper which gives your images a wonderful vibrancy and clarity.

Hand bound and encased in fine, natural leather, they open out flat with an almost invisible crease, so each image is on full view.

Handcrafted right here in Yorkshire too!

In my global search for the very best for my clients I also offer albums from top album manufacturer, Albums Australia. Each album is bespoke and handcrafted.
