MONDAY, DECEMBER 12TH, 2018

The Corporation of the Township of King, 2075 King Road, King City, ON

Township Accessibility Advisory Committee met at 12:45 p.m. in the Council Boardroom at the Municipal Offices, 2075 King Road, King City, with Chair Bernie Moyle presiding. The following were present at this Meeting: Members Staff Bernie Moyle Kathryn Moyle – Director of Clerks/By-law Anna Roberts Enforcement and Township Clerk Beverley Barra-Berger Diane Moratto – Admin. Clerk – Council/Committee Jakob Schneider Nairn Robertson – Public Education/Fire Prevention James Binsfeld Officer Councillor Pabst

1. CALL TO ORDER The Chair called the meeting to order. A quorum was present. 2. INTRODUCTION OF ADDENDUM ITEMS There were no addendum items. 3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA A motion was made by Councillor Pabst and seconded by A. Roberts that the Agenda for the Accessibility Advisory Committee Meeting of December 12th, 2017 be adopted. 4. DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST There were no declarations of pecuniary interest.

5. AGENDA ITEMS 5.1 Future Multi-Use Recreation Centre in King City Committee reviewed the discussions from the presentation by Jon Bell at the November meeting on the new multi-use recreational facility being proposed on a twenty-five (25) acre parcel of land located on the south east corner near the 15th Sideroad and Dufferin Street on the

Seneca College Campus and were reminded to submit their questionnaire forms as soon as possible to the Township. A motion was made by J. Schneider and seconded by B. Barra-Berger that the committee fill out the questionnaire and return to the Township. 5.2 2018 Schedule of Meetings Committee reviewed the 2018 Schedule of Meetings. Committee was reminded that there must be quorum inorder to hold a meeting. A motion was made by A. Roberts and seconded by B. Barra-Berger that the 2018 Schedule of Meeting be adopted. Motion Carried. 5.3 Review of Accessibility Friendly Awareness Assessments

• Dr. William Laceby (Nobleton) Community Centre & Arena • Nobleton Community Hall • Nobleton Public Library • Cold Creek Conservation

Committee reviewed the Accessibility Friendly Awareness Assessments and discussed the next steps in the Accessibility Friendly Awareness program in 2018. A motion was made by N. Robertson, seconded by J. Binsfeld that the Accessibility Friendly Awareness Assessments be adopted. Motion Carried. 6. ADOPTION OF MINUTES 6.1 Accessibility Advisory Committee Minutes

A motion was made by A. Roberts and seconded by B. Barra-Berger that the Minutes of the Accessibility Advisory Committee Meeting of November 20th, 2017 be adopted. Motion Carried
