From Self Reliance, Resistance to Civil Government, connected readings 210-224 – tie together – Use Blood Done Sign My Name DVD

The Minister’s Black Veil (also in Interactive Reader if you want helps) - if you can find The Scarlett Letter DVD it might work well here – The Pit and the Pendulum (have the students create a new ending and have to act it out or act out what they are reading – could create a modern version in a video

(end of chapters and stories have additional ideas that could be used or modified)

Check in with the students on their senior projects – maybe give one class period every other week to organize and work on – see that they are all started on their field work
