AFFORDABILITY AND QUALITY!!!The Skor Simmentals Bull Sale is synonymous with one of the best places to be able to purchase Red & Black Simmental Bulls. The price point of these top quality bulls has been somewhat distorted through embellished rumours and “coffee shop talk” has deemed them unaffordable at times. However if accurate and fair comparisons are analyzed, the Skor Bulls are no more expensive than anywhere else. As a matter of fact, “bang for your buck”, as they say, is an advantage that does come at this notable, high quality event.

In viewing this year’s set of bulls, it is very obvious that the “Reds” are the strongest group to have ever been created from the great Skor cowherd. Multiple high end bulls will be very appealing to both the registered and commercial breeder looking to advance their own bottom lines!

Now the previous paragraph isn’t designed to downplay the “Blacks”, as many of you are aware of the high level of quality that constantly exists at Skor Simmentals. This group certainly holds their own with the past high caliber pens of Black Simmi bulls methodically designed by Skor Simmentals.

There are many reasons to admire the Skor breeding program but one that stands out to us is how they utilize A.I. sires and make sons that are better than they! This is an extremely large validation to the breeding prepotency of the Skor cowherd. This is not an easy task, and more so, even a large challenge that these people have conquered.

The bulls have been developed on a TMR of silage, hay and non-starch pellets from Wetaskiwin Co-op Feeds. All bulls are semen tested and guaranteed.

The bulls are available for viewing in Camrose, the Monday and Tuesday before the sale but can be viewed on the farm any time before that.

We have watched him develop into a bull with a powerful look, exceptional balance and an excellent skeletal structure.-Big hipped and carries that muscle down through his lower quarter.-He hails from the genetic package of Captain Scream but brings so much more to the table as a breeding bull with his dark red beautiful hair coat, huge scrotal circumference, and his added length and overall performance. We think this is a bull that could have a great impact on the Simmental breed and would like to retain a semen interest.-We took 88F to Bow Valley Genetics for a day jump just before Christmas and successfully collected semen on him.
