Welcome to our 10th Annual Sale. We wish to thank all of our customers for their past support and hope you have been pleased with the cattle you have purchased from our program. Our sale has a very strong showing of repeat buyers and that is very encouraging for us!

Again, we have a great set of diverse bulls and replacement heifers for sale this year. We have a strong set of Fullbloods, many Polled and Full Flecks, Red Purebreds, and a few Blacks as well. The Purebreds are all polled. All of the bulls have low to moderate birth weights, have been halter broke, semen tested and are guaranteed. The older age bulls are calves that were born after our cut-off date or in the fall, and kept specifically to be in the sale as such. Our bulls and replacement heifers are carefully selected from our herd of 350 registered cows, with the focus being on healthy udders, solid feet, performance and good disposition.Our family was very pleased to be honored with the ATB Farm Family Award this year and we thank all of our friends and neighbors for their support. We believe in our cattle and our program and hope you can come out and find something that adds to your herd as well. Lewis is a bull that we purchased off of Lewis Farms in their 2010 Bull Sale. He is an outcross to our herd on the sire’s side and consistently produces well coloured, deep bodied, good size testicled, smooth bodied, even calves from front to back with low birth weights. The last two years we have used him on our purebred heifers with great success. Last year we decided to breed a small group of our older, bigger framed, high production cows to him as well and we have been extremely pleased with the outcome. His sire, KS Bravado, is a calving ease bull known for producing broody, good uddered, sound daughters.

She goes back to MFL Eddy who was known for his longevity, libido, and semen quality, breeding until he was 11 years old, and Gallery 86H who produced on our farm until age 15.

X Rock is a homozygous polled bull we selected to keep for our own use and is a great herd bull. He has some different genetics for our farm on the dams side, with Big Sky and Magoo in her background. The dam has always produced beautiful calves, and X Rock always stood out to us. His sire, Skors Prime Cut was a real powerhouse, thick, smooth, with lots of growth and produced some great daughters that we have in our herd. We kept a number of heifers out of X Rock that will be calving this season and we were so pleased with his calves that we’ll be expecting his third calf crop in 2014.SW

This is a real powerhouse of a bull, one of Darian’s favorites. He’s got a bit of a higher birthweight, but the dam had a beautiful set of twins the year before and we find the birthweights of the calves the year afterwards are always higher. Avenger is super thick, very deep and heavily muscled out of a bigger cow, almost 1900 lbs, exhibiting those very same qualities.

Now here is a power bull of a herd bull. Windsor is sired by TNT Gunner, an AI bull we used for 3 years. Gunner is known to sire highly productive daughters and the calves we had off of him have had astounding vigor. Following in his father’s footsteps, the Windsor calves also have great vigor at birth, are extremely well pigmented, dark liver red in colour and are really stylish in their make-up. Windsor is a thick, deep bodied, heavily muscled bull with great testicles, sound, well placed feet. On the dam’s side, Windsor goes back to our oldest Antonius cow family.

Zephyr is a bull we kept specifically as a two year old because of his excellent growth and his dam Stella 171S’s ability to produce top of the line bulls. He is a big, thick, dark red bull out of Red Wolf, a bull who added nuts and guts to his calves. A half brother to our herd bull Swantewitt Windsor 9W, and a half brother to lot 3 in the sale.

Another of Darian’s favorites, now here is a loaded pedigree. Carlsberg crossed with a direct daughter of Antonius, one of the greatest Simmental bulls of our time. Honey 5U was Darian’s 4-H cow and comes from a line of heavy milking, thick, quiet cows. We retained her 2010 bull for our own use. Antonio has size, growth, thickness, the best temperament in the bull pen, and the pedigree to back him up!

Carlsberg is an older bull that we bought out of Manitoba because he’s a true muscle bull that makes calves with loads of natural thickness and performance. He’s a Shawacres Jahari son, known for consistent calves with cherry red colouring, depth and thickeness. His dam is the K2 Andrea cow, we owned K2 Anzac, her first bull calf, and loved the meat and muscle he added to his calves. Carlsberg is her last bull calf and he makes calves with great pigmentation, long spines, excellent temperaments and loads of heavy muscling.

Andrew is one of the younger bulls in the sale and weaned off right up there with everyone else, that signature Carlsberg thickness. Unice 194U has been a great producing cow with her first two daughters kept in our herd and last year a bull through the sale. The granddam, Music 49M is still in our herd and the line has great feet, and lasting udders.

Barcelona was one of the high selling bulls out of Virginia Ranches Champs Romano sons that sold in 2011. He’s the natural calf out of their flush cow Barbie 46K, and we share him with Wolfe Farms out of Valleyview. We used him our first year on mature cows and were highly impressed with his easy calving and low birthweights. Last year we used him as our fullblood heifer bull and had great success! He produces low birth weight, sound structured, growthy calves! He has nice large testicles, great colour and a superb disposition, something we select for in our cattle.

liability, legal or otherwise, to make any further compensation to the buyers.BreeDerS Guarantee: We the sellers have done everything possible to assure you, the buyer, that every bull in this sale will be a breeder. However, should a problem arise, please inform the seller so the problem can be solved. The purchaser shall have six months from the date the bull reaches fourteen months of age to report in writing to the seller that the bull is a non-breeder, providing of course, that the bull has been maintained in satisfactory breeding condition.Each consignor will have six months to prove the bull a breeder after the time of report. In the event a bull is a non-breeder the situation will be handled by either a replacement, credit or money back. In no case will an adjustment be made for more than the purchase price of that particular bull. No guarantee is given that semen collected from any bull in this sale will freeze or be suitable for artificial insemination.
