Once again this year I’m undertaking the journey, along with another 180 odd riders. The ride raises much needed funds for Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets Program. Last year the ride raised in excess of $200,000. As you would expect, riding the nearly 1000 km’s does give you some aches & pains but these are easily forgotten with the camaraderie I enjoy with the other riders in the event. There are around 20 odd local Macarthur cyclists who enjoy the event each year and we all look forward to catching up on everyone’s past year. This year Paul Burgess & Nathan Hayes are joining me from our Dealerships and we are looking to once again raise somewhere near the $10,000 mark for the ride. Pupils at Elderslie Public School dazzled in their home-made creations while Oran Park Anglican School students started a new tradition with their inaugural Easter hat parade and egg hunt.
