The effect of love is to wound, that it may enkindle with love and cause delight. . . . Love is ever throwing out sparks. -‐-‐Chris Hoke
Prelude Sonata XI Allegro Samuel Arnold
* Call to Worship (From Psalm 26) The Lord is my light and my help: Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life: Before whom shall I shrink?
Though an army encamp against me My heart would not fear.
Though war break out around me Even then would I trust.
There is one thing I ask of the Lord, For this I long, to live in the house of the Lord, All the days of my life, To savor the sweetness of the Lord, To behold God’s temple.
I shall see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Hope in the Lord, hold firm and take heart. Hope in the Lord!
* Hymn 10 Sing Glory to the Name of God LASST UNS ERFREUEN * Call to Reconciliation * Prayer of Confession
Lord, accept our sorrow for our sins, forgive us our faults of thought and word, for what we have done, and for what we have failed to do. Restore us to the likeness of your Son, and grant us that peace which the world cannot give. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
* Assurance of Forgiveness
In Jesus Christ we are reconciled to God. If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation:
Everything old has passed away; Everything has become new!
