Choose the day and time that fits your schedule.

Spring is here and I love it. The signs of life are all around us. Trees budding, flowers blooming, green grass growing, and sun shining are sure signs that the creator God is at work. We will celebrate Easter soon with an intentional focus on Jesus, the resurrection and the life. I hope you will envision this season as a time for new beginnings and life.Although we have recently gone through a winter season of sickness, darkness, death, and grief, I am confident that God has been with us all the way, fulfilling His purpose. I rest on what the word of God says in Eccelesiastes: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” and “He hath made every thing beautiful in His time.” We serve and worship a sovereign holy God who works things together for good for those that love God. Whatever season you may be in spiritually, I hope you will keep your faith in the Lord Jesus and allow God to give you peace, hope, comfort, and life.Live Oak First Baptist Church is a blessed church. We have a purpose and work to do. Let’s envision God uniting us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our community. We already have outreach programs such as Sunday School, Parents Night Out, VBS, Women’s Ministry, and AWANA which can be the

catylist to new beginnings and life. I pray the Holy Spirit will re-energize and empower His people with a fresh vision to accomplish His purpose. Anticipating new beginnings and life through faith in Jesus Christ,

Easter is a super holiday in which we celebrate the resurrection of Christ after He died voluntarily for the forgiveness of our sins. We need to share the Good News with our neighborhood and those with whom we come in contact. This Easter falls on our normal Sunday to celebrate the Lord’s Supper. What a great time to worship with our church family! All VBS workers need to attend the clinic at Northeast Baptist Church across from MacArthur Hight School. Choose either Friday night, April 10 at 6:30 p.m. or Saturday morning, April 11 at 9 a.m.Pray for our VBS as we try morning ses-sions instead of evening. We lose a few workers this way, but perhaps others will step up in their place. We will still need your gifts of cookies and Kool-Aid or Lem-onade.I am excited about Parents Night Out un-der Sherri Ann’s leadership. This month we will combine with our own children for an egg hunt. Lively Oaks meet April 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Bring a dish and plan on some good food and fellowship.

Prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Many times our busy schedules take priority. Even the disciples struggled with the commitment to prayer. Prayer can be a powerful ministry if we are consistent. Let’s commit ourselves to finding a way to remember to pray when people ask.Join us for Bible study, dinner, and fellow-ship with your sisters in Christ. Check in the foyer for the menu and sign up sheet to help with food for the meal. Please call the church office at 656-8200 if you will need free childcare for preschoolers.
