How and Why Silk Was Invented

• A legend tells that a ruler's wife noticed silk worms eating her prized tree. She pulled one of the silk worms cocoons off a branch and dropped it into a pot of boiling water. The silk unwove, and the wife successfully weaved it. That is how silk was invented.

• "Why" is an obvious question because silk is so wonderful and soft!
