A BRIEF DISCRIPTION

WENB is wireless data transfer for quick display of messages in real time.

Display SMS sent from Mobile phone

Multiuser can update notices by sending SMS with password.

for a purpose of relying urgent information

4

OBJECTIVES

To display the message on display board through SMS.

To effectively receive and transmit data via SMS.

To eliminate the need of being physically present to hangout the paper notices.

To provide reliable, authenticated ,user friendly display system.

5

MOTIVATION

Currently we rely on putting up notices on the notice boards using papers.

Traditional display system should be reprogrammed via software to display new messages.

AT COMMANDS

12

•AT+CMGD – to delete SMSSyntax: AT+CMGD=1 -> deletes 1st sms in simcard

•AT+CMGR – to read SMSSyntax: AT+CMGR=1 -> reads 1st sms in sim

card

•AT+CMGS – to send SMSSyntax: AT+CMGS=9849093784 press enterType text”HELLO” and press ctrl+z

AT commands are used to control MODEMs

MAX232

It changes a TTL to RS232 Logic and vice versa. (TTL

Logic 0 to between +3 and +25 V) & (TTL Logic 1 to

between -3 to -25 V) 13

MERITS

User friendly : Messages are only to be typed on a mobile

Eliminates use of printers : Since we don’t use papers to display information

Faster means of transferring information : There is no delay in transmission of information.

Long Range : As long as we have the required network coverage we can send messages from any part of the world.

28

DE MERITS

Dependent on signal strength : Messages are not transmitted if there is weak network coverage.

Volatile memory used for message storage : Messages last only as long as power is ON.

FUTURE ENHANCEMENT

Currently in our project we are using onboard RAM memory to save a single message. To overcome this shortcoming we can interface an EEPROM to save messages

The same principle can be applied to control electrical appliances at a distant location.

Robots can be controlled in a similar fashion by sending the commands to the robots.

31

RESULT & CONCLUSION

Hence, we are succeed to display the text message .

Reliable, Authenticated & User friendly display system.

Finally, Project helped us to implement the theoretical principles learned during the four years course
