Reports pupil achievement as follows:

Understanding Grading
When the student passes a class, that student has earned a CREDIT.
You can earn 6 or more credits each year.
If a student fails a required class, the student must repeat that class until the credit is earned.
Students must earn a minimum of:❑ 4 credits for promotion to grade 10❑ 10 credits for promotion to grade 11❑ 16 credits for promotion to grade 12
Understanding Credits
A student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) is determined by adding the total of Quality Point Values per class divided by the total number of classes attempted.
Quality Points are earned in accordance with grades earned as follows:

AP courses on weighted, meaning they are on 5.0 scale.

Student Service Learning
Procedure:
❑ Students earn 15 SSL hours in each class-
6th gr. Science, 7th gr. Social Studies, 8th gr. English, and 10th gr. life skills.
❑ Students must earn 15 hours in independent service.
❑ Independent service can begin at the start of 8th grade.
❑ Design own plan but must have approval before starting.
❑ Contact a partnering agency which is pre-approved.
❑ Student must keep record of their hours.❑ Record card is available at each high school.❑ Record card should be turned in to the school SSL

AVID- Advancement Via Individual Determination● AVID is a program designed for students that want to attend
a 4 year college after high school ● The program helps students be successful by providing
