Stage 1:what is digital storytelling?

o get an overview of digital storytelling (or storytelling online) identify our personal reasons for wanting to tell stories

• view a demonstration of how to build a movie

• view a demonstration of recording your own verbal story

Stage 4:  tell your story

o have a go at telling your own story  in voice in 2-3 minutes

o locate useful resources for storytelling onlinea collaborative webquest

Why do you want to tell stories online?

What is your story focus? What artefacts will you need?

What tools can you use?

• Mostly Google Apps and a little You Tube

How to begin?

• think of your audience• think of precious moments in time• prepare some photographs• create a script or record some music• practice reading your script• record your voice as you tell your story e.g. audacity• add your story recording to selected software e.g. google docs• now add your photos• save as a movie
