What will I be creating?

Amy-Jane Patrick // Screen Based Design

2 interactive products 2 non-interactive products

Amy-Jane Patrick // Screen Based Design

That intertwine & merge with each other

Why?I want to regenerate the experiences that we have at

attractions - specifically the experiences families have. As technology is such an integrated part of society, I see no reason why we shouldn’t allow it to further benefit the experiences we have outside of the home or outside of our personal lives. I see an opportunity to create a package of technologies that serves

entertaining, practical and educational uses.

Interactive & Non-Interactive Products

Mobile ApplicationRemoves any restrictions a person may have when visiting an

attraction. Provides them access to live information and makes their entire process at the attraction much simpler. No one likes to feel out

of control or ‘out of the loop’. Also allows for last-minute visits.

Interactive KioskProvides an opportunity for children to learn whilst out and about,

and to present information in ways that a child may find more engaging. Gives the chance to present it in the form of everyones

learning styles.

The PlanMobile Application

Various features to enhance interactivity

Available across different platforms

Aimed at an older audience (specifically parents) audience (children)

All-in-one application

2-part application “I’m at the Zoo” and “I want to go to the zoo”

It divides all of the reasons someone may visit the app into 2 categories, making it simple to navigate. All of the categories within the app cover the most likely queries a user may have,

and there is always an ‘other’ section.

Why?

Looped AnimationsAnother way to keep someones attention. Quite often, you may not realise an animation is looped until it has looped a few times. Also

adds up towards a more sensory experience as they would not be the ‘main attraction’ - they would be projected behind the main

attractions, adding to the atmosphere.

Animated PostersFun way to present information in a more forgiving form than a static poster. Allows option for transitions and implementation of video, as

well as the ability to present deals/events in different ways.
