Design  Rules

These  rules  will  help  everything  you  do  look  more  precise,  professional  and  powerful.

Communicate.  Messages  are  not  communicated  un=l  they  are  received.

Speak  with  a  visual  voice.  Be  universal,  remember  that  it's  not  only  about  you.

White  space  is  your  friend.  Nega=ve  space  is  good.  Leaving  white  space  will  draw  the

eye  to  the  important  factors  in  the  space

Don’t  let  type  overpower  the  message.  The  best  rule  is  to  choose  one  type  or  font

Less  is  more!  If  you  can  do  it  with  less,  then  do  it,  don't  over  decorate.

Be  decisive.  Design  with  a  purpose  —  or  don't  do  it  at  all.

Pick  colours  on  purpose.  Use  colours  that  compliment  each  other.

If  people  have  to  hunt  for  informaCon…  they  won’t  find  it.
