In the month of December, the Christian employee
association of PT. Ungaran Sari Garments planned a
Christmas celebration. As previous years, this Christmas
celebration is a widely awaited and cherished event.
Christmas celebration in 2019 was conducted on 29
December 2019 at the Cemara Sewu pine forest resort in
Ungaran. The event, was attended by 178 employees and
their families, was celebrated in joy and gratitude.
The event consisted of Christmas prayer, games, and
distribution of door prizes. The celebration ended at 13;00
PM. Attendees were joyfully participating in the event.

One Employee Two Trees
Sustaining our commitment to the One Employee Two
Trees campaign, on 21 December and 28 December
2019 we conducted planting and donation of coconut
palm saplings.
On 21 December 2019, donation of 110 coconut palm
saplings were given to Sendangsari Village at
Pringapus. We hope that this donation can contribute to
the greening of Sendangsari and that the local
community can gain economic benefits from the coconut
products.
On 28 December 2019 our employees planted 100
mahogany and sea almond (T. catappa) trees at the
parking lot of PT. USG Congol.
Blood Donation Drive for Women’s Day 2020
In celebration of International Women’s Day of 2020, PT. Ungaran Sari
Garments working together with Indonesian Red Cross conducted a blood
donation on March 2020. The event attracted 498 participants from our
employees, among whom 80 were first-time blood donors.

Fire Evacuation Drill with the Fire Department
of Kab. Semarang
Observation of World AIDS Day
Every 1 December we observe World AIDS Day to increase the
awareness of society on the impact of AIDS. PT. Ungaran Sari
Garments also continuously provide training and communication to
employees and the general public on the danger of HIV/AIDS.
For World AIDS Day 2019, our Peer Educators in HER Project
conducted many activities including training on preventing HIV/AIDS,
donation of milk and other daily necessities for children with HIV/AIDS
in need in Kabupaten Semarang, and contributed to education events
for the general public conducted by the Government of Kabupaten
Semarang.
In keeping with our training plans, PT. Ungaran Sari Garments
conduct regular fire evacuation drills for all employees. On December
2019 and January 2020, we conducted fire evacuation drills working
together with the Fire Department of Kabupaten Semarang. One team
of firefighters equipped with one fire engine conducted training and
fire simulation to all employees.
In addition to fire evacuation drills, we also conduct fire extinguisher
training in all Units at least every six months.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Program Award from Central Java Province
Signing of Collective Work Agreement
Good industrial relations between the employers and the
worker union is one of the main key for creation of good
business climate. PT. Ungaran Sari Garments and Serikat
Pekerja Nasional (SPN) PT. Ungaran Sari Garments
successfully maintain great bipartite industrial relations. One
manifestation of this is the discussion, drafting, and finally
signing of the Collective Work Agreement (Perjanjian Kerja
Bersama/PKB) for the 2020-2022 period.
The bipartite discussion process had been started on
September 2019 and on 2 January 2020 the agreement was
concluded and signed with Serikat Pekerja Nasional. On 24
February 2020, the Collective Work Agreement for the 2020
– 2022 period was officially approved by the Manpower
Office of Kabupaten Semarang.
Bike to Work Campaign
On 23 February 2020, a sunny morning greets employees of
PT. Ungaran Sari Garments getting ready to participate in
Sepeda Sehat event . This event is regularly scheduled as
part of the Bike to Work campaign in order to contribute to
reducing pollution as well as increasing general health.
More than 45 employees joined this event. The pleasant
view of the route, fresh air, and togetherness gave new spirit
for all participants.
In celebration of National HSE Month, on 17 February 2020 PT. USG Units Ungaran, Congol, and Pringapus was awarded
for the HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control category at the provincial level at the Office of the Governor. The award was
presented by the Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo.

Prevention and Control of COVID-19
Responding to the outbreak of COVID-19 globally and particularly in Indonesia, on
10 March 2020 PT. Ungaran Sari Garments conducted a meeting with all department
heads and formed a COVID-19 Prevention task force team.
The team immediately coordinated with the Health Office of Kabupaten Semarang to
establish policies, procedures, and actions to prevent the spread of COVID.19. Some
of the immediate actions in the company are: installation of additional handwashing
stations and soap in our facilities, free mask distribution for employees and guests
entering the facility, provision of hand sanitizers at various locations, body
temperature checks for all employees and company guests, disinfection off shared
facilities such as toilets, prayer rooms, canteen, and lockers, and implementation of
social distancing at all company locations and for all aspects such as adding more
work shifts and adding more break time slots.
