Pre and Post Matric Scholarship under Centrally Sponsored Scheme to thestudents belonging to Scheduled Tribe community notified by the A&NIslands studying at Secondary, Higher Secondary, Graduation and PostGraduation level for the academic year 2021-22. The scholarship criteriarequired are as mentioned below:

i) Applicable to students who are studying in any recognized course from a recognized institution for which qualification is Matriculation/Class XI and above.

ii) Parental income from all sources shall be less than Rs.2.50 lakhs per annum.

iii) Compulsory fees charged by educational institutions are reimbursed subject to the limit fixed by the concerned State Fee Fixation Committee and scholarship amount of Rs.230/- to Rs.1200 per month, depending upon the course of study is paid.

Apart from providing day to daybanking business transactions and loanschemes for people of different strata,these banks are also instrumental inimplementing/propagating the financialsecurity schemes launched by the Govt.of India viz. Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri JeevanJyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), PradhanMantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY),Atal Pension Yojana (APY), PradhanMantri Mudra Yojana, Stand Up IndiaScheme. Farmers' Corner- A Knowledge Hub

Mitta Champa is a local cultivar in the Islandand cultivated since ages and moreprevalent in Andaman group of Islands. Thisvariety is slowly vanishing from the Islandas per the information received from farmersof South Andaman. This cultivar is grownin homestead gardens and most preferredfor table purpose. The variety is mediumsized growing to a height of 2-2.5 m. Fruits are medium sized with shiny silky skin,very sweet in taste and turns to golden yellow on ripening. Bunch weight variesfrom 15- 20 Kg and number of hands per bunch varies from 12-14 with 10-12 fingersper hand. The keeping quality of the fruits is less and the skin tends to turn blackafter 3 days of ripening. The average weight of fruit ranges from 80-100 g. Thiscultivar is maintained with traditional farmers' of the Island and the reduction inyield is observed when grown as a ratoon crop continuously.
