What is an internship?

• Short-term work/research placement– 8 weeks – 12 weeks or more

• Professional organization or institutions• Related to your field of study and career

Academic Credit

POLI 599:• Internship must be a minimum of 150 hours of work over a

period of 12 weeks. • Government, NGO and private-sector placements are eligible. • Final year Honours and Joint Honours students, and graduate

students.• Requires written approval prior to your internship.• Based on an academic paper written after your internship.
