How to Cite an Article using

NoodleTools

Choose your article type(journal, magazine or newspaper)

from the pull-down menu

For example, Journal

You may view the tutorial explaining the source type you’ve selected.

Ask a Librarian if you’re still not sure OR

When you’re sure you have the right source type, choose Continue.

Don’t worry, you can change it later if you need to.

NoodleTools defaults to the form for an articlefound in a Print journal

If you found your article in one of the Library’s databases,

select the Database tab

Choose the name of the Database from the pop-up list

NOTE: Leave DOI, URL and Database Accession Number fields blank

Complete the form withAuthor’s NameArticle TitlePage numbersJournal TitleVolume and Issue numbersPublication Date

And Submit

Your bibliography with your newJournal Article citation

Click on Footnote Format for the pop-up windowshowing the format for your first footnote

and subsequent notes.

Add Page number(s) for quotations and paraphrases too.

Edit, Copy or Delete a citation
