Looking at ‘oo’ sounds
An interactive activity
My name is Hoot and
today we are going to look at words that
have ‘oo’ sounds.
‘Oo’ is a sound I like to
use a lot –
Too wit too
woo!
The ‘oo’ sound changes. Sometimes it has a long ‘oo’
sound, like in the word ‘school’, and sometimes it has a short ‘oo’
sound that sounds like an ‘u’ sound, like in the word ‘book’. It can be a little confusing but it’s
easy when you practice. Let’s play a game!
