“La Llorona”

• In Mexico they have a legend of "La Llorona“ she was mother of 2 children who lived in a village crossing a river, she and his children's survived

selling flowers, they growing in the family garden house

One day they went to the town to sell flowers in a canoe and become night, they returned to home and found the house on fire, the desperate mother jump out of the canoe trying to extinguish

the fire, but did not realize that the canoe was not tied to the post, and her children screaming and crying.

• They left the riverbank, the desperate mother go for help, trying to rescue his children, but can´t do anything, all the people trying to help the poor woman to find them, but nothing, the boys had disappeared without trace, the mother did not accept the loss of his two sons and

cried uncontrollably, without animus, she dying of sadness so she was

named "La Llorona"

From that night, after the tragedy, she appears in the streets looking for

children to calm his pain
