SWOT – Section’s Member Growth Program
Strengths
•Tainan Section already has a rule which benefits students to join IEEE.
• Most universities in Taiwan encourage their faculties and students to pursue globalization leadership.
Weaknesses • Currently, most high-tech companies locate at northern Taiwan (Taipei Section). Most student members move there for their jobs after graduating.
Opportunities
•High-tech companies are getting more and more popular in southern Taiwan. There will be more chances to recruit new members from Industry.
• GOLD affinity group of Tainan Section will be formed. It is helpful for membership retention.
Threats
• IEEE Taichung Section may be formed soon and potentially share the members with Tainan Section.
