Stonefields School 2011Foundation Year Memories

About this book

Stonefields School opened for it’s first day of learning on February 3, 2011. Parents, staff and foundation learners met for the first time. This book is a record of the special memories and events that occurred throughout the year.

All hands to the deck as everyone works together to get ready for day one!

The foundation learners and their families gather at the front of the School and are greeted by Suzy Cato.

The foundation students, staff and families gather for the official first photograph.

Four butterflies are released, one for each vision principle.

The official ribbon is cut by our youngest and eldest enrolled students.

Each learner receives their foundation gift and welcome certificate.

A special delivery arrives and Rocky, Pebbles, Roxanne and Cliff meet the community for the first time. The cake is cut!

Friends begin to be made. What a great sense of community.

The learning begins.

Lots of extra curricular learning experiences and opportunities.

April 1st, 2011. The official opening, a special day for all.

Anand Satyanand the Governor General of New Zealand officially opens Stonefields School.

The time capsule is lowered containing memoirs from each foundation learner and staff member.

Miss Gray gets married.

An afternoon full of fun for Stonefields School families and friends.

Mad Scientist Day! Lots of learning and fun had by all.

The community tree planting day, it rained, it poured, it rained some more!

The very first learner led conferences. Learners share their progress with their families.

Engaged learners openly enjoying the challenge of learning.

The learning showcase - lots of learning to celebrate and share.
