Faithful Remembering

After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned under their slavery and cried out. Out of the slavery, their cry

for help rose up to God. God heard their groaning, and God remembered God’s covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Exodus 2:23-24

He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.

Luke 1:54

Faithful Equipping

On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out,

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.’”

Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive. . .

- John 7:37-39a

Sing to the Lord, all the earth.Tell of God’s mercy each day.

Declare his works to the nations, his glory among all people.

All praise to you, Eternal Father, through your Son Jesus Christ, who with you and the Holy Spiritlives and reigns forever.

Living in relationship with Jesus

Leading through relationship with Jesus

Faithful EquippingThey left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to

know where they were, because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They

will kill him, and after three days he will rise."

But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it. They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them,

"What were you discussing on the way?“ But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.”

- Mark 9:30-35

“In organizations, real power and energy is generated through relationships. The patterns of the relationships

and the capacities to form them are more important than tasks, functions, roles and positions.”

First Follower

A Unique Kind of Leader

Faithful EncouragingEmbracing chaos for transformation

Living into a future that is different from the past requires change

Transforming self is first step toward leading transformation

Leading transformation requires the ordering of chaos

He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny

themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and

those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.”
