Transcript of Ecosystems 6th A Escuelas Bosque

An ecosystem has three components:a place and its physical features (the biotope),living things (the biocenosis), and the relationships between these.

The biotope refers to the non-living components of the ecosystem, such as rocks, water, air and light, in addition to the temperature, humidity, altitude, depth, etc.

n

They are located in spots where land and water meet. Beaches, deltas and marshes are mixed ecosystems.

Their biotope is covered in water. Aquatic ecosystems are found in oceans, (coral reefs, open water, rocky sea floor, deep sea trenches, etc) and in rivers, lakes, ponds, pools, etc

Aquatic ecosystems

Their biotope is not covered by water. Their characteristics vary depending on the climate, the altitude and the presence of water. Forests, grasslandsand arid deserts are some of the main land ecosystems

Every ecosystem contains various types of living organisims. These organisms have very similar characteristics and they are capable of reproducingwith each other and having offspring with those same charasteristics.

All the components of an ecosystem are related, in other words, they depend on each other. These relationships remain stable as long as there are no sudden or unusual changes in the components of the ecosystem. This stability is called balance.

An ecosystem is in balance if the relationships between the components are stable and contribute to the survival of the ecosystem´s living organisms.

* -What is an ecosystem? An ecosystem is were every living organism lives.
