- Plants in the Taiga The plants in the Taiga are accustomed to
the cold climate. The seeds of the tree are in cones. Each tree has

cold. The main plants in the Taiga are coniferous trees. And some

woodlands with spaced out trees Some land is covered by lakes and
rivers The soil is poor and acidic. This is what the taiga looks
like.

- Environmental Concerns Acid rain is an environmental concern
that happens when pollutants and air mix together. Another
environmental concern is erosion that is caused by water pollution.

- Summers are warm enough to melt any snow from the winter
Springs and autumns are so short they dont really exist The average
temperature varies from -5C to 5C In the summer the high is 70F and
the low is 20F This is a picture of the Taiga.

- Climate in the Taiga Winters are very cold with snow that can
go well above your head The temperature is below freezing for 6
months In the winter the high is 30F and the low is -65F This is
snow on a branch of a coniferous tree.

- Precipitation in the Taiga Most of the precipitation comes in
the summer months The precipitation comes in the form of rain,
snow, and dew drops Total yearly precipitation is 12-33 inches
(30-85 cm) This is a picture of a stream in the Taiga.
