Burleigh Heads and offers numerous kid’s playgrounds,
exercise equipment, and BBQ areas dotted underneath the
famous Norfolk Pines that line the beachfront. Burleigh is a
top place for families to visit with many restaurants, coffee
shops, and activities all on your doorstep. Burleigh is well
known for its great cafes and restaurants with something
for every taste, from a relaxed breakfast overlooking the
water, to a fi ve star dinner. There are also two surf clubs
offering beachfront dining and three patrolled beaches.
If you like to shop, Burleigh has a large shopping precinct
in West Burleigh with a huge industrial centre to explore.
Burleigh is also not too far away from Pacifi c Fair, the
recently expanded Robina Town Centre, the Oasis
Shopping centre in Broadbeach, and Harbour Town

The stunning landscapes of the Northern Rivers combined with the friendliness of its residents makes the region irresistible to visitors.
Whether you want the adventure of exploring many National Parks including the World Heritage listed Mt Warning - the highest mountain in Northern NSW - or sipping fi ne local coffee in one of the numerous cafes in picturesque villages, there really is something for everyone.

Fast becoming one of the region’s most popular holiday destinations, the coastal town of Evans Head is well-known for its great fi shing, unspoilt beaches and the estuary is perfect for canoeing and boating.
The Evans River estuary provides safe shallow, sandy beaches for children to swim and pleasant shady picnic spots to enjoy the local specialty of fi sh and chips by the river.
For serious nature lovers there is bird watching and bushwalking in the nearby Bundjalung and Broadwater National Parks. The walks take in
littoral rainforest, heath land vegetation and unspoilt beaches.
The Goanna Headland lookout is a great place to watch the annual migration of humpback whales and is a mythical site of great importance to the Bundjalung people, who have occupied the area for thousands of years.
Other attractions include galleries, boating, tennis, golf and bowls.
Not far away is the lovely town of Woodburn - a rich agricultural area with tourists wanting to be away from the actual coast fi nding it a great base for their tours of the region.
Just south of Woodburn lies two “must see” tourist attractions: The New Italy Museum, which shows the infl uence of the Italian community on the region and explores that history, and the Gurriglia Aboriginal Art & Craft Centre, which details the region’s rich Indigenous history.
If you like your holidays a little bit country then Casino is for you. Casino is known as the Beef Capital of Australia, celebrated each May during Beef Week. There is also Primex - agricultural fi eld days covering almost every aspect of primary industry in Australia. Casino lies on the Richmond River, a popular spot for visitors due to its rapids, scenery and weirs, making it a fi shing and water sport venue.
Other places to visit include the folk museum, the Norco Factory and Tomki Station Boiling Pot, once used for boiling down tallow.
Just outside the city of Lismore is the beautiful village of Eltham. A day
trip or weekend in Eltham will relax and refresh you.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist spots so popular
throughout Northern NSW, Eltham is a small and quaint little village
where life tends to revolve around the family friendly pub, where there
is always entertainment and great food, and a chance to mix with
some of the friendliest locals you’re likely to meet.
Next door to the pub is the gift shop and art gallery.
The tennis courts at Eltham are also very popular and everyone is welcome to join in with a friendly game.
Eltham Valley Pantry, a working pecan and coffee farm which welcomes visitors, is another popular destination with tours and of course wonderful meals on offer.
There is also a great BBQ and picnic area which is the perfect place to stop for lunch.

If Mother Nature was to create a Pandora’s box of beautiful
treasures it would look exactly like the southern end of the
Northern Rivers region.
Ancient rainforests, buoyant rural communities and teeming
marine parks set on vast winding rivers. The largest of these
rivers – the Clarence River – is a living link between the rugged
highlands and the golden beaches of the Pacifi c Ocean.
Over 400kms from source to sea, the Clarence is one of
Australia’s largest waterways. Spend a day on the Clarence and
you may never want to leave. The Clarence Valley offers visitors
so much to do – art galleries, outdoor adventures, golf, water
sports, scenic drives and national parks. If time with Mother
Nature is what you need, then make time for the Clarence
Valley.
If you’re feeling in need of a coffee whilst in the Maclean region,
take a short detour from the Pacifi c Highway to Woombah and
you can taste coffee grown on the world’s southern-most coffee
plantation, Wombah Coffee. Established in 1982, Wombah Coffee
led to the growth of the coffee industry on the north coast.
The pretty village of Woombah includes caravan parks in
bushland and river settings and the Clarence River is popular
for fi shing holidays. The area includes a number of artist’s studio
galleries.
