A personal timeline of educational technology

My name is Angie PondI started school in 1988 in Lakeville, MN

I graduated from high school in 2001 in Lakeville, MN

I Graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2007 with a degree in Marine Science

When I finish my teaching degree, I hope to become a science teacher

The use of modern technology in the classroom in order to prepare

students to compete in a global society.

Technology integration is already widely used in college classrooms.

Students should be aware of basic uses of technology by the time they enter college courses.

College students are required to use:◦ Computers and computer software◦ Digital cameras and video equipment◦ Advanced laboratory equipment◦ Multimedia Applications◦ Internet

Integrate all types of technology Use telecommunications to access

information world wide Promote ethical uses of technology

Computers◦ Ipads for students

Integration of all technological equipment used by students

I would like to see schools in Hawaii catch up to other schools in terms of their access to new technologies.

All students in Hawaii having the ability to effectively and ethically use technology.

The biggest challenge for using technology in my classroom will be the lack of funding for equipment.

The research rat of the future allows experimentation without manipulation of the real world. This is the cutting edge of modeling technology. ◦ John Spencer
