1 Logging on to the system
Go to the website https://pssc.gov.ie/
Select the Option ‘View Employee Online Payslips’
Select your Department from the list:

Enter :
Username which is your registered email address - this may be a work or personal email address.
Password – this is case-sensitive Then click sign in
One of your 3 registered security questions should appear in a new window. Enter the answer (which is case-sensitive) and click sign in.
If you encounter any difficulties logging in at this stage please refer to the Troubleshooting Guide for Logging in to Core Portal. This can be found on the PSSC homepage, under the “Password/Registration” Guide tab.

2 Core Portal Pay Tab When you log on to Core Portal you will automatically be directed to the Core Portal Pay Tab. If
you are an Approver, the Manager’s dashboard will open automatically. If you wish to see your
own personal pay and expense details as an Approver, you will need to switch dashboards -
select “Dashboards”, then “Employee Dashboard” to do this.
In this page it is possible to view Payslips, P60s (for years prior to 2019), PRD/ASC60’s, view
current Tax details and find out how many days to the next pay date:
P60 documents show gross earnings for a given year, tax and USC paid.
PRD (Pension-Related Deduction)/ASC(Additional Superannuation Contribution)60 documents
show gross earnings for a given year, and the amount of PRD/ASC deducted from this. PRD was
replaced by ASC in 2019, and both are essentially a Government levy for having a Public Service

Pension. Further details relating to ASC can be found on pssc.gov.ie, under the FAQs tab –
“What is Additional Superannuation Contribution?”
“Payments Summary” shows the payslip highlighted, in terms of details for gross earnings,
deductions and net earnings. To see more details on the payslip in question, click on “Full
Payslip” to open it fully.
3 Payslips On the Core Portal Pay Tab, the four most recent payslips are available by clicking on the
relevant date on the left hand side of the “My Payslips” section of the screen:
Clicking the “Full Payslip” button on the Recent Payslips button section for that particular
payslip, will display the payslip for the selected period in a new window. You can change the
language to Irish by selecting the “Gaeilge” option at the top of the new page shown.

Pressing the “View Print Version” button on this screen will allow you to print the payslip
Historic payslips can also be viewed by clicking on the Magnifying Glass within the “My Payslips”
section.
This will display previous payslips available on the system, displaying a screen similar to the
following:
Click on the cog icon to the right of the required payslip to open it. Older payslips can be viewed by
selecting the right arrow at the bottom of this page.

4 P60s
P60s are available on the landing page for previous years, up to 2018, in both Irish and English.
To view P60s in Irish click on the button highlighted below
To print a P60 click on the relevant year and the following screen will be displayed detailing all
the relevant P60 details.

To print the Standard P60 document click on the Generate P60 and the document similar to the
document below will be displayed and may be printed.

Historic P60s can also be viewed by clicking on the Magnifying Glass within the P60 Documents
section.
This will display previous P60s available on the system, displaying a screen similar to the
following:
Click on View P60 as per the highlighted symbol to print previous P60s.

5 PRD/ASC60s The most recent PRD60 documents can be viewed by pressing the relevant year next to the
document in question: (Note: PRD has been replaced by ASC as of 2019, appears as such on
payslips from 2019)
To view historical PRD60 Documents click on the Magnifying Glass and this will display all of the
PRD60s that are available for viewing.

6 Important dates This will give a countdown to the number of days to the next paydate.
