Learn constantly

• I love to learn.  • I enjoy learning more about God,

myself, my business, and other leaders whom I respect.  

• The Bible encourages us to constantly learn.

Knowledge alone

• Knowledge alone can frustrate us, but Biblical wisdom from God, placed side by side with knowledge, helps us to be discerning and apply the facts to our lives that help us live to please God.

Get wisdom

• Proverbs 4:3-8 (Message) challenges us to get wisdom “When I was a boy at my father’s knee, the pride and joy of my mother, he would sit me down and drill me: ‘Take this to heart. Do what I tell you-live!  Sell everything and buy Wisdom! Forage for Understanding!

Don’t forget one word

• Don’t deviate an inch! • Never walk away from Wisdom-she

guards your life; love her-she keeps her eye on you.  

• Above all and before all, do this: Get Wisdom!  Write this at the top of your list:

Get Understanding

• Throw your arms around her-believe me, you won’t regret it, never let her go- she’ll make your life glorious’.”

Overcoming Failure…• God wants us to be around godly

peers on a regular basis.  • We as leaders need this interaction

for survival.  • God knows that we will never make it

as a “Lone Ranger”; we definitely need others to help us on the journey.

• Proverbs 8:11 (Message) tells us, “Prefer my life disciplines over chasing after money, and God-knowledge over a lucrative career.  

• For Wisdom is better than all the trappings of wealth, nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.”

Godly Counsel • Where do you go to receive

counsel?  • The Bible says that we need to be

very careful where we go for direction.

Godly Counsel • Proverbs 2:1-6 (NIV) tells us that the Lord is the

source of true wisdom. “My son, if you accept my word and store up my commands within you, turning year ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if your call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God, For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

fragmentation, alienation and broken relationships.

Prayer Focus• Father, In the name of Jesus, I

surrender myself to walk in the Word in the marketplace. Your word living in me produces the Life in this world.

• The word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. It makes my way plain before me.

• I boldly and confidently say that my heart is fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God! Amen

Learning, application and commitment: James 1: 22-25

• “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

• Do what it says. • Anyone who listens to the word but does not do

what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

• But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it - he will be blessed in what he does.” (NIV)
