What is AIESEC?
Founded in 1948, AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization with AIESEC Norway, as one of its proud founding members. AIESEC is a non-political, independent, not for profit organization run by current students and recent graduates from the world’s top universities. It identifies itself as a platform for youth to discover and fulfil their potential, so that its members can have a positive impact on society. AIESEC has a vast network, based in 113 countries, with an active membership of 86,000 youths, from 2,400 universities, and almost a million alumni. Each year, AIESEC provides 24,000 leadership opportunities and 20,000 international internships, in a bid to get closer to achieving its objective: Peace and Fulfilment of Humankind’s Potential.
Your Experience, Africa The Concept Your Experience, Africa, is a social project initiated by AIESEC in Norway and Fredskorpset, which aims to Exchange, and strengthen knowledge and practices in the area of education for youth between the North and South. There will be 7 incoming volunteers from South countries, working in organizations in Norway, and 8 outgoing participants who will work in organizations in the South. South Partners: Uganda, Kenya and Mozambique
Duration of the internship: February – June 2014 (5 months) Training Seminars: January, April and July 2014 Post Work: July-August 2014 (2 months) This project is financed by FK, which allows for a very competitive access to highly qualified university students from the South Partners, working in Norwegian Organizations.

Previous editions of the project
This project started in 2010 and has been surpassing all our expectations. We are now going for its 4th edition and can’t wait to see the outcome. The organizations that have been involved in the last editions of the project are:

Criteria for selection
Alignment of the Organization purpose, with AIESEC and FK mission and values
Contribution of the intern/s to leverage the capacity of the Organization
Organization’s capacity to follow-up on the intern/s during their internship
The interns are involved, during their internship, in contributing to the non-formal education
of children in their local community (e.g.: workshops, cultural presentations, etc.)
Previous involvement of the Organization in international projects and/or the existence of a
multicultural work force
Payment of an administrative fee of 4000 NOK (+VAT)
About AIESEC in Norway projects
For Companies, Summer Camps and Schools AIESEC provides companies in Norway with access to international talents, within the field of IT. During the months of June and July, we offer refugee youth and Norwegian, with the chance to participate in positive activities, in Bergen, Trondheim and Oslo. This project is organized since 2010 and is called Aktiv Sommer! Since 2012, AIESEC Norway is also offering schools in Oslo and Trondheim, with the opportunity to access dynamic workshops, around soft skills development and cultural understanding, trough our AIESEC Youth Empowerment Program (Empower!).
For Students Together with our partner countries across the world, AIESEC in Norway sends every year over 100 Norwegian students abroad, on volunteering and professional internships. The main destinations for Norwegian students are: Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Ghana, China, Brazil and India.
