These are exciting times for The Wordsworth hotel havingbeen purchased by The Garside Family who have beenhoteliers in The Lakes for more than thirty years.

This historic 4 star hotel which has welcomed AmericanPresidents, Royalty and world famous poets over the yearsstands in its own spacious landscaped riverside gardens inthe heart of Grasmere village next to the church and withsuperb views from the comfortable lounges, conservatory,heated indoor swimming pool and terrace.

The Wordsworth offers f irst-class facilities and service forthose seeking luxury accommodation, good food and aperfect peaceful setting.

Lakeland's world-renowned literary sites are all within easyreach and Wordsworth's home at Dove Cottage is only ashort walk from the Hotel.

There are great walks from the hotel, from gentle strollsaround the lake to Fairf ield Horse Shoe, Helm Crag andHelvelyn, we are happy to advise and have maps.

Spa and GymOur large indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi offers the perfect way to

unwind and relax after a day of exploring the lakes.

The gym has been extended and new equipment installed and the

changing rooms refreshed, we will a lso install a new mixed sauna.

For pampering our experienced Therapist Lisa Jayne operates The

Lime Health and Beauty Spa from within the hotel. Please advise

at time of booking if you would like a treatment so we can make an

appointment for you.

DirectionsFrom the south leave the M6 at Jct 36, follow the A591 through

Windermere, following Ambleside. Carry on to Grasmere, where you

will tu rn left into the village. We are in the centre next to the

church.

From the North leave the M6 at Jct 40, take the A66 to K eswick.

Turn off at St Johns in the Vale, then turn into Grasmere village

where we are in the centre.

AccommodationThe Wordsworth Hotel has 36 bedrooms, most have beenrestyled and refurbished in an individual style.

All bedrooms and suites are en-suite, have Egyptian cottonlinen, duvets, f lat screen TV’s, telephones, tea and coffeemaking facilities, complimentary WiF i, bathrobes andluxury toiletries.

We have rooms on the ground f loor and there is a lift toupper f loors. We have four grades of rooms from ClassicStandard to Deluxe Suites.

Signature RestaurantOur stylish new Signature Restaurant boasts 2 AA rosettesfor food offering a four course Table d’ h ote menu changingdaily to ref lect the seasons and an A la Carte selection.

We have an extensive wine list to choose from providing aselection that will please your pallet and your pocket!

The Dove BistroServing traditional beers, good wines and a range of coffees,our bistro offers tasty meals in a cosy and casual ambience.It has received accolades from ‘The Good Pub Guide’ andNational Newspapers.
