Cross curricular topics: 1 Moral and civic education, 2 Education for peace, 3 Education for same opportunities between sexes, 4 Environmental education, 5 Education for health, sexual education and highway code, 6 Education in a consumer’s society.
Timing: Though it varies from class to class, it is advisable to stay about five minutes per exercise. It may look too optimistic, but classes have only 55 minutes, and every page in this book appears to have been thought to be taught in a single period. Also, we must bear in mind that some exercises lean on one another, like 2 and 3 on page 4, which is in fact only one, whilst exercise 4 and 5 are linked by a common photo and text. Activity 6, however, is easier to do, so three or four minutes should bee enough. So, my recommended timing is:

Grammar Contents: the superlative. as in Turner.Context: songs and music. Tina Turner.
Methodology: Discuss questions about Tina Turner, comprehensive reading the lyrics of The Best, listening to the song and (optionally) singing it. Teacher should improve singing in class, as it is a helpful way to improve pronunciation. Teaching English songs has its own methodology, but it relies heavily on teacher’s voice and lack of embarrassment: after Tina Turner has sung her song at least twice, the teacher shows the pupils how to sing every single verse, by singing it solo with echo by the whole class, and then the class will sing the song together with Tina Turner. Yes / No
