Coolest Projects brings together young people

from CoderDojos, Code Clubs, and other

Raspberry Pi initiatives. It is an amazing space

where you get to meet people who share your

passion for coding and creativity!

“I loved seeing the different projects and the people from all over the world who come to show things that inside are very similar, but in practice are very different and have many different uses.”

Raul, Madrid

Aoibheann from Tuam CoderDojo in Ireland

attended Coolest Projects in 2017 when she was

10 years old, showcasing her Scratch project Hospital Holly + Henry.

She went on to become European Digital Girl of the Year in 2017!

“My project is about helping children who are going into hospital for the first time, or maybe repeatedly, to understand some of the processes involved. It's a Scratch story interface that reacts with a real-life doll that the child will get, and the buttons help tell the child about things like blood tests and X-rays.”

Kobe (16), an industrial sciences student from Belgium, attended Coolest Projects 2018 with his project

Light up my Helmet. He was inspired to create a project that could improve bike safety, as he cycles to and

from school everyday, sometimes in the dark.

Kobe created a trailer for his project that you can watch here: rpf.io/kobeproject

“Seeing all the coders from around the world with all the projects — it’s so cool to see them all together! Talking with other people to get inspired by them and inspire other people is just awesome. I was so lucky to meet all the coders who attended Coolest Projects!”

“To any kids that are looking to enter a project in Coolest Projects, I would definitely encourage them to go in with an open mind. I had no expectations going in and loved being immersed in the environment, which exuded innovation and ingenuity.”
