• The TB germ usually a�ects thelungs, but can also a�ect theother parts of your body.

• Anyone can get TB.• TB can be cured

Tuberculosis• Diabetes is a disease where the glucose

(sugar) in your blood is too high andyour body cannot use it properly.

• Diabetes can be managed with ahealthy diet, exercise and treatment.

• If you have diabetes, get screened forhigh blood pressure.

• People living with Diabetes can get TB easily because theirimmune systems are weaker.

• If you have Diabetes you should be screened for TB.• If you have TB, you should be screened for Diabetes.• It is safe to take treatment for TB and for Diabetes
