To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest, to all who mourn and long for comfort, to all who struggle and desire victory, to all who sin and need a Savior,
to all who are strangers and want fellowship, to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness,
and to all who will come, this church opens wide her doors and offers welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Affirmation of Faith (To be read responsively) Mike HaberkornNew City Catechism Q&A #19Leader: Is there any way to escape punishment and be brought back into
God’s favor?People: Yes, to satisfy His justice, God Himself, out of mere mercy, rec-
onciles us to Himself and delivers us from sin and from the pun-ishment for sin, by a Redeemer.
All: Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush Him; He has put Him to grief; when His soul makes an offering for guilt, He shall see His offspring; He shall prolong His days; the will of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. Out of the anguish of His soul He shall see and be satisfied; by His knowledge shall the Righteous One, My Servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and He shall bear their iniquities. – Isaiah 53:10–11
Sung Confession of Sin bulletin (vv. 1,2) “Speak, O Lord”
Private Confession of Sin Teach us, Lord, full obedience, holy reverence, true humility. Test our thoughts and our attitudes in the radiance of Your purity. Cause our faith to rise, cause our eyes to see Your majestic love and authority. Words of pow’e that can never fail---let their truth prevail over unbelief.
Song of Assurance bulletin (vs. 3) “Speak, O Lord”
Prayer for God’s People Mike Haberkorn
Offertory Adult Choir with Darrin & Christine Hassevoort“What Grace Is Mine” arr. by Tom Fettke
What grace is mine that He who dwells in endless light called through the night to find my distant soul and from His scars poured mercy that would plead for me that I might live and in His name be known!Chorus: So I will go wherever He is calling me! I lose my life to find my life in Him. I give my all to gain the hope that never dies. I bow my heart, take up my cross and follow Him.What grace is mine to know His breath alive in me. Beneath His wings my wakened soul may soar. All fear can flee for death’s dark night is overcome. My Savior lives and reigns forever more!Chorus

Sermon Notes:
FPCC ROADMAPPlotting the Course for First Presbyterian Church
Elders and Deacons, over a series of meetings, retreats, and workshops from December 2015 through Spring 2016, affirmed that FPCC ex-ists to Glorify, Edify, and Testify.
A workgroup of four elders and four deacons—Mike Alston, Dick Fisher, Patrick Frees, David Griffin, Randy Shipp, Tim Sisemore, Sam Ven-able, and Rudy Walldorf—drafted FPCC’s Pur-pose Statement, which the officers approved in 2016:
GLORIFY the Triune God in spirit and truth, publicly and individually, by exalting God in worship, seeking Him in prayer, obeying His Word, walking by His Spirit, and loving others because Jesus first loved us.
EDIFY the church family for godly living by exercising our spiritual gifts in love through shepherding and equipping the body of Christ through the Word and prayer so each person is discipled and built up unto maturity in the Lord in the context of fellowship and community.
TESTIFY in love about the transforming gos-pel of Jesus Christ to our communities and the world by deed and word to build His kingdom by the power of the Holy Spirit.
