Expected key Impacts of the Working Group

Promote existing facilities for data sharing on capture, landing, effort, size classes, vessel monitoring system and production through sharing of structural data de�nitions. This promotion will be supported by demonstrations of live examples of data sharingFacilitate access to data by recommending standards and assist in adoption of tools and facilitiesRecommend existing data toolsRecommend solutions for controlled vocabularies and mapping between local, regional and global vocabulariesIdentify synergies with other working groups and existing data networking initiatives

19th of September from 11:30 - 13:00 local time, Room: Mans�eld 10.This second meeting will focus more on the description of a technical framework (R programming language) set up to comply with OGC standards for metadata, data and access protocols.

1. Short overview of RDA FDI working group, the activities, and presentation of co-chairs2. Overview of the work accomplished, according to the work plan3. Presentation of the FDI work�ow for metadata cataloguing, data access & discovery, including �shery data vocabularies, methodology and tools (R packages)4. Synergies establishment/strengthening with other RDA groups and user communities (e.g. marine domain Beyond �sheries, geospatial data, biodiversity, agricultural data, Virtual Research Environments, etc.)
