W S A : This four‐hour training is open to both building and fire officials. Select a me and loca on convenient for you. T O : This training has two parts: Engineered Wood Products (EWP) followed by Outcomes of the ICC Tall Wood AdHoc Commi ee. The EWP por on provides an introduc on to the ever‐growing family of tradi onal and engineered wood products, including lumber, glued‐laminated mber (glulam), cross‐laminated mber, structural composite lumber, wood I‐joists, and wood structural panels. Design stress standards and design provisions for each product will be discussed. The second half of the session will include a review of the intensive research performed by the ICC Tall Wood Building (TWB) AdHoc Commi ee in the development of the four‐teen tall mass mber code change proposals that the

commi ee submi ed and recommended for approval. These proposals created three new types of construc on(Types IV‐A, IV‐B and IV‐C), which set fire safety require‐ments, allowable heights, area and number of stories for tall mass mber buildings. These Tall Wood Building code change proposals were validated through the ICC Code Hearing process in 2018 and will be included in the 2021 Interna onal Building Code.
