Did you do the Home work? Very good. Can you tell where the earth is?
Well! Have you heard about Universe? O.K. Tell me, what all are there in Universe?

II. Reading the text and identifying the unknown words and concepts:
1. Dear children! Now, all of you open your readers and read page nos.1 and 2.
2. Underline the words the unknown words and concepts whatever you feel with your pencil.
3. Ex: Exploitation of the earth global warming
2. Well! children, Now, all of you tell one by one, the words
You underlined.(Teacher should write the words told by the children on the b.b at the right hand side. Make the children to discuss and understand the words.)
III. Understanding the concepts by discussion:1.Making the children to speak: Children, I hope
you all understood a part of the lesson. Let me know, how well you have understood. Come on! speak about the text.
(Teacher should allow and make all the children to speak on the text they have read.)
2.Asking questions:Very good. O.k. children, now put questions on the
concepts and words you have not understood. Teacher should make the children to put questions adding the contemporary issues.
Writing questions to understand the text:Children, you have asked some questions. O.k. I will also
put a few questions to make you to understand the text in a better manner, Shall I? I will write them on the b.b. Observe and think about the answers.
(Teacher should write the questions prepared by him on the b.b.)
Explain about Environmental crisis?Give the differences between the Sun and the Earth.Can you name the nine planets?Why do you think people today are curious to know
about the secrets of universe?Read the following text and give your opinion.The exploitation of the Earth has resulted in poisoning of
our soils.How do you think that the Earth gets poisoned by the
exploitation?(Teacher should involve the children in the discussion to
give correct answers, help them wherever necessary and conclude the understanding part of the text read.)
Practicing skills:Information skills:Collect the information about the Solar
system, tabulate and analyze.
