INVERTERS
The Solar Edge DC-AC PV inverter is specifically designed to
work with the SolarEdge. Because MPPT and voltage
management are handled separately for each module by
the power optimizer, the inverter is only responsible for DC

Commercial Solar PV installations
Below are sample of projects carried out by Solarforce renewables..
Solarforce has had the opportunity to work with RCT on several occasions and they are leading the way for local
authorities with Solar PV. From July 2013, we firstly installed 30KW of Solar PV onto two Sports centers. The
installations was very successful and after several months, RCT decided to add PV to several other buildings in the
Local community. With the experience and professionalism, that Solarfocre demonstrated on the initial installations,
in January and February 2014 we were selected once again to install PV to five Care homes. In total, the five care
homes added to 70KW of Solar PV. Again, RCT have relied on Solarforce to add more Solar PV to their portfolio.
Some of these included, Heddfan Offices, Llantrisant Leisure Centre and Parc Primary School with a total installation
of 251KW. We are currently progressing 25 more sites to be installed through 2015/2016.

“EMPOWERING PUPILS AT PARC PRIMARY SCHOOL”
Solarforce Renewables worked with the local community to provide a Primary school in

190KW SOLAR PV INSTALLATION FOR NATIONAL UTILITY SUPPLIER
Above is the building footprint identifying where the solar P.V arrays are to be installed. The building
roof has a very shallow roof pitch of 5 degrees and when designing the system our team wanted to
get the most efficient system, which would provide the best electrical output and offer a very good
return on investment.
Product choice was key in the factor of design flexibility; the roof having a low 5-degree pitch allowed
our designers to look at all the roof aspects. This included the North roof space also, as the pitch gets
lower the Northeast and west options can improve in efficiency.
Solarforce chose to use the Solaregde product with power optimizers as this offered our client a much
more dynamic system; offering higher energy output with guarantees of a anywhere up to 25% more
electrical output, individual panel & optimizer harvesting and on-line roof top system monitoring.
Here you can see the early stages of the installation. Four of Our roof engineers were on site on Monday morning to start the
project.
Gary our lead supervisor on this project held a team discussion to identify key factors that would arise or need to be addressed
within the project, but also to get any feedback from the team that would help the installation go fault free.
The key factor identified was, that when placing the panels onto the rail over a long distance; if the rails were not measured and
fixed accurately the tolerance for fixing the panels onto the rail was very small and could miss the rail at the opposite end. Time
would need to be taken with constant measurement checks along the fixing brackets and rail installation to ensure straight lines.
The roof material is a metal sheet with a profile ridge, which would allow Solarforce to fix & run the rails to the seams along the
roof horizontally. The panels will be laid in the same way using an all-black 265-watt panel, which would also be fixed
horizontally by clamping onto the rail.
Above is the start of the project showing the rail and panels as they start to be placed in there finished position.12 panels are
now fitted with another 704 to install. Our time scale is between 3-4 weeks to complete the roof installation.
Below is an illustration of how the inverter installation would look using SMA inverters.
