Author’s Note
This educational book is on a difficult topic. This book is not
meant for entertainment. It is food for thought and to take
corrective action in what so over stage one may be. There is
never late to do something in the life.
Views expressed in “Readiness for life after death” about
god, heaven, hell and rebirth is my personal and may hurt
sentiments of religious people. I am devout Hindu and believe
in all the religions. I seek excuse from the religious people,
whom sentiments I may have hurt.
Case study one forced me to think about old age people,
their problems and to write a book on the subject in 2009 at
Mumbai. I did research, collected the details, had discussions
with many concerned people and started writing it but could
not complete due to office engagements and other
commitments. Case study 2 forced me to complete it in 2018.
The thought on the subject helped me in planning for my old
age. I hope it will help readers also.
The names, places and other essential details have been
changed in the examples and in case studies to hide their
identities. Rest of the details are actual to the best of my
knowledge and belief. Stories may match with many people’s
own stories and they may get hurt. I express my regret in
advance and seek pardon with folded hands.
I and my wife Beena helped many people in this respect in
my life, especially during last 10 years of my service when we
gave farewell to retiring employees and their families. I
cautioned all of them for old age issues and advised them to
protect their retirement corpus. Many did so and thanked me.
I and my beloved wife Beena will continue to help people in
future, as long as feasible.

My friends, near and dear asked me to write in Hindi. I will
attempt to bring its Hindi version soon, as developing
countries like India needs much more attention, awareness
and care. Problems for aged people is going to aggravate fast.
Many points have been repeated as life is complex and points
are interlinked. Points need hammerings.
This book have many case studies and examples. Each will
give a lesson.
This is my third book after novels “Rasika” and “Curse of a
broken soul”.
