FYI :
In view of the increase in thefts and deterioration, an inventory

and the return of the keys...

4) Room :
Ethics & Respect
The room is air-conditioned..
« The room is not intended for laundry or eating meals. »

Everything is done to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Thus, we rely on your respect for the facilities and the small
rules of life in order to keep the condition of the room at best
for future customers.
Almost all people come to the Amarantes to Rest, so each
resident is asked to be discreet late in the evening, at night
and... in the morning. Everyone does not have the same
rhythm of life : you have to deal with night owls and early
risers.
In case of conflict or complaint, Les Amarantes reserves the
right to exclude clients from the campsite.
Out of respect for others, avoid the shower after midnight and
reduce the sound of the computer / Radio because the noises
are heard in silence.
The possible loan of equipment must be returned in its original
condition as well as the Linen Supplied.
Alcoholic beverages are in principle prohibited in rooms and a
fortiori any illicit substance.
FYI : Drugs, prostitution and pedophilia are international scourges,
they are liable to imprisonment. Think well that the jails of Senegal
have nothing to do with those of France and Navarre or even
European !!
4
5) Room service
The Towels / Gloves / Carpets are changed on
Wednesday and Sunday, think about the environment by
using them several times.
Bed linen is changed every Sunday or according to your
arrival every 7 days.
Avoid food in the room because crumbs and reliefs, even
invisible, attract ants and other insects (n1000 during
wintering). In addition you may stain the laundry !
Respect the objects around you, avoid unhooking paintings and
curtains, moving furniture or bedside lamps, picking up the
trinkets on the floor (if they bother you, put them away and put
them in their place when you leave the camp), rolling in ball
plaid or blanket, leaving them in a corner for several days. Even
if you are in a camp, we try to provide good quality material
chosen with love !
If you happen to inadvertently damage the trinket, chair and /
or other furniture or stain cloth or furniture, don’t hide your
clumsiness, this happens to everyone. Let us know at
once. We will find a solution. If this requires only a simple
repair by us, there will be no additional costs. On the other
hand, if this obliges us to redeem / change the damaged
equipment (if it was in perfect condition), expenses / repairs
will be at your charge.
6) Room cleaning
Good Morning All,
Room cleaning is provided daily (Finally ... We try !!)
In the Morning, before Soon.
For fans of
The Morning Sleep,
Thanks for making a little effort,
Otherwise, it will wait for the next day!

7) Environment :
Water, Electricity & WC Plastic Bottles
We are sensitive to our environment
and try to contribute to its protection by simple and
uncomplicated gestures. We also count on your participation
and thank you in advance for :
Turn off the lights when you get out of your room,,
Stop the air conditioning when you leave the room,
electricity being very expensive in Senegal,
Close the faucets and moderate the flow of water during
showers, shaving,,
Make sure that the flush does not get stuck to prevent the
water from sinking. Here, we change flush almost as a shirt,
chinese material requires.
In Senegal, there is no sewerage as in industrialized countries.
Also, we ask you to pack hygienic pads, condoms and other
used items in a small pouch or toilet paper that you will throw
in the trash, NEVER in the toilet bowl, this can clog the
pipes and cause inconvenience to all occupants.
In advance, thank you !
Electricity
Power outlets are powered in 220 V.
Do not worry if Fairy Electricity
has mood swings ! The cuts
untimely current are part of the Senegalese landscape at all
hours of the day and night ... And, unfortunately, we can do
nothing about it.
You have at disposal of the lamps of pockets…
Water
Although it is chlorinated, we
advised against drinking tap water
because it is not very potable, at least
it is sandy, brackish, colored
+/- gray, red, depending on the nature of the ground
where the pipeline was broken by the truck
(they are not buried deep !!!!).
Plastic bottles
Here in Africa, "Nothing is thrown, Everything is recycled..."
The collection of waste is not developed
as in Europe…
Here, everything is reused !!! Also, please do not
compact plastic water bottles of 1.5 L which serve for multiple
uses such as :
Insert another glass bottle
(Warang Liqueurs for example) for
avoid breaking it in the luggage,
We give them to the women who
filling with milk and reselling them on the
roadside,
They can be used as funnels, water sprinklers,,
lid on a pot, wire feeder, seed pot and / or
cuttings, etc, etc…

8) Environment :
Cigarettes & Chewing-gum
You are smoker…
As in France, the anti-smoking law was passed in Senegal on March
14, 2014 with draconian enforcement this year 2017 prohibiting
smoking in public places. Also the room is Non-Smoking, for the
comfort of all...
Normally, it’s the same in the restaurant. You can smoke only
in front of the rooms because it is an open place ... This is
the law !
Thank you for respecting these instructions, some people do not
have the same notion of the word respect ... Controls, fines and
imprisonment are on display for the recalcitrant ...
… and Champion of the Mandibles ?
Please, as for cigarettes, Chewing gums are to be thrown into the
ashtrays / garbage cans and not to stick under the bed or elsewhere!
7
9) Environment :
Used batteries
Please do not dispose of used batteries anywhere but return
them to reception.

11) Sécurity

as you wish…
Should you let the door of YOUR entry
of open residence ?
No ... So as a security measure,
please kindly close the front door of the hotel behind
you, so you can avoid any worries ...
Because here, it is NO Limit :
The Talibés and other local
people invite themselves...
And in addition :
Our friends dogs, cats, donkeys and
other goats who love the greenery !!!!
We love them but...
Avoid leaving window & door to room wide open.
Apart from the risks of theft :
A few cats, geckos, lizards, mosquitoes and other little beasts
may keep you company during your stay !
Keep "out of sight" your valuables (jewelry, multimedia
devices, various means of payment, etc ...
both in the room and in your vehicle
in the parking lot, the temptation would be too strong !
For this, you have a safe at your disposal to put
everything away. The batteries have been removed

uncommon for the door remains closed !!
The Amarantes decline all responsibility in case of disappearance of your objects,
