one way to save money and ensure your family eats healthily is to grow your own vegetables.

Agardenthesizeofakitchendoorcan grow enough vegetables tofeed a family of four. If you don’thaveayardorthespacetoplantagarden, you can grow your

vegetablesincontainers.

Getting started:

Tostartyou’llneedbasictoolslikeaspade,gardenfork,awateringcanorhosepipeandseeds.

Build your vegetable garden in aspotthatgetslotsofsunlight.Plant

your seeds in rows and leaveenough space between them foryourvegetablestogrow.Onceyourseeds are planted youmust waterthem well at least once a week, and up to two or three times aweekiftheweatherisveryhot.

Regularly check your plants for

insects and remove any that youfind. Another way to keep insectsat bay is to plant certain flowerssuchassunflowers,petunias,mari-golds and lavender around yourvegetablebed.
