Praise and Prayer Concerns
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temp-tation; but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

Distribution of the Lord’s Supper Deacons
All Christians of whatever name or creed are invited to participate. We take the Bread as it is passed to symbolize our personal fellow-ship with God in Christ. We hold the Cup to take together, symbol-izing our unity in Christ.

Preacher’s Note: The Art of Neighboring
The Art of Neighboring is a fairly simple read, yet that doesn’t mean it is easy. The subtitle of this book by Jay Pathak and Dave Runyon points to how much work it is: Building Genuine Relationships Right Outside Your Door. The pic-ture here is of a square made of nine blocks. If your house were in the center block, would you know the names of the people living in the other blocks? They may be just across the street or those blocks may be huge depending on property sizes, but the fact that these are your nearest neighbors doesn’t change. The book begins with this little test of putting the most detailed infor-mation in these blocks that you can. Do you know your neighbors’ names? If
so, good! How much more do you know (beyond surface level things like make and model of the car they drive)? The Art of Neighboring was, honestly, a challenging read for me. It is so easy to go about your day, your life, knowing that “building genuine relationships” requires time… time that you may not have or, as it may appear, time that your neighbors don’t seem to have. Building relationships requires being intentional and courageous. But these are the people you are closest to and if you can’t recall their names, how can we say we are loving our neighbors? I recommend this book to anyone look-ing to be a good (or better) neighbor! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
