Properties DYNAGRID® DYNAGRID® NG EFFECTS
Produced by 100 % cellulose Good dissolving by sulfuric acid
Engineered composite materialHandling like a standard pasting paper
Synthetic Web remaining on positive plate
Reduced shedding, Keeps surface of the plate intact
Porosity (l/m²/s) >1,500 >1,000 Better paste adhesion
Thickness (µm) 45.0 at 12.5g/m² 90µ Sponge effect
Water Climb >30mm/10min >50mm/10minHigher water absorption, Less peeling
Chloride (ppm) <100 <100 Less corrosion of the grid,
Low self-discharge of battery,
Low self-discharge and reduced water loss
Iron (ppm) <50 <50
Manganese (ppm) <20 <20
SMOOTH PROCESS THROUGH THE UNIQUE SPONGE EFFECTThanks to the sponge effect of the DYNAGRID® product family, the paper adheres well to the moist paste and dry plate. This ensures a smooth process in the flash oven and during assembling, eliminating paper-related downtime. The paper’s high porosity and good water transport means less energy is needed.
DYNAGRID® DYNAGRID® remains the benchmark for pasting paper quality among global lead-acid battery manufacturers. It is uniquely engineered to meet customers’ high purity requirements. This highly porous pasting paper has ex-cellent wet strength and processing characteristics.
DYNAGRID® NG Throughout the life of a battery, DYNAGRID® NG remains embedded on the plate surface. DYNAGRID® NG reinforces the plate and thereby significantly reduces shedding. It matches the lifecycle performance of com-petitive material, as demonstrated in a study carried out by renowned lead-acid research institute IEES, Sofia.
